    Al Bahr Towers has been recognised by CTBUH (Council On Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat) Chicago, USA as one of the 50 Most Influential Tall Buildings of the Last 50 Years.

    The towers selected represent significant advancements in skyscraper technology and design that have been made in the last 50 years.

    In conjunction with its 50th Anniversary, CTBUH, the world’s foremost authority on tall buildings, is recognising tall buildings that have had “broad, profound effects on the industry over the last half-century”.

    Al Bahr Towers, along with two other iconic buildings in UAE, (Burj Khalifa and Burj Al Arab), will be formally recognised at the CTBUH 10th World Congress in Chicago, “50 Forward | 50 Back”, 28 October-2 November 2019.

    One of the most influential Iraqi architects of the 20th century and an icon of Modern Architecture of Iraq and the Arab World, Rifat Chadirji and his wife Balqis, hosted Sheila & Samir Daoud at their London home. Rifat and Samir reminisced about the good old days, sharing memories of Baghdad, remembering common friends and notable architects who had worked at Chadirji’s firm, IRAQ CONSULT. They also discussed DIAR CONSULT’s architectural journey over the past 30 years and it’s contribution to the impressive transformation of the UAE and the broader region.

    Aged 92, this legendary Architect, Rifat, and his wife Balqis gave generously of their time to all present including Rifat’s brother Nasser, Nasser’s son Kamil, also an Architect, and Dr. Nabil Safwat, a prominent art historian and painter.
